Element Unknown did not start out as a book. To be honest, it was quite the accident. I used to belong to many different text-based roleplaying sites and as it goes with the internet, various sites come and go. I decided to take two characters from sites that never took off and created a what-if situation with them. What if Rex and Meenal met? A couple of background changes here, some side characters added there and suddenly, I had several word documents full of their adventures.
I was telling my sister about it and she said, "That sounds like a book!" With further encouragement from family and friends, I changed the format, got some editing help, and turned those random collections of docs into the book of Element Unknown.
