Since childhood, Brittani S. Avery has always had a creative mind, from using her socks as puppets while in timeout to inventing characters to live within the worlds she has built. The writing materials have changed throughout the years, but the distinct personalities, complex relationships, and elaborate descriptions are the same. In 2017, she finished her debut novel and, with the creation of her own publishing company, Black Meredith Press, she published Element Unknown. Avery is currently in the process of writing its sequel.

When her overactive imagination is not urging her to write, she spends time with her family, friends, and Olde English Bulldog named Meshach.

More of Brittani's books…
Edith Wharton
“How impatience men are! All Jack has to do to get everything he wants is to keep quiet and let that girl marry him; whereas I have to calculate and contrive, and retreat and advance, as if I were going through an intricate dance where one misstep would throw me hopelessly out of time.”
Edith Wharton, The House of Mirth

Natalie C. Parker
“Never underestimate the girls of this world.”
Natalie C. Parker, Seafire

Helen Keller
“When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us.”
Helen Keller

Robert Fulghum
“I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge. That myth is more potent than history. That dreams are more powerful than facts. That hope always triumphs over experience. That laughter is the only cure for grief. And I believe that love is stronger than death.”
Robert Fulghum, All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten

William Shakespeare
“Hell is empty and all the devils are here.”
William Shakespeare, The Tempest
