(view spoiler)[I'm so depressed about Bronze. Also I got a Dark Tower series ending vibe from reading the initial book. It seems like Eric eventually goes back in time to original Earth to set his future up, and Eric will simple go around in a very very long but endless circle.
First, I miss Bronze. Is she really gone?
Second, am I even remotely close on your planned ending? (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[First off, as I understand the Dark Tower ending (?), Roland keeps going back to an earlier point in his life to make the journey to the Tower again. Each time, there is something small, something subtle, that changes. (He picks up the Horn, as I recall, which he did not do the first (?) time through. And so on.)
Eric doesn't *do* time travel. Alternate realities, yes; time travel, no. If he does go back in time, it'll have to be something pretty unique and unusual--an exception to the rules, so to speak, rather than any ongoing loop. How that would work will take some hard thinking if I want to do that.
As for Bronze, how can you ask me such a question? Seriously. If I tell you, either way, it spoils things. You wouldn't want me to do that, would you?
...but I'll tell you that Eric believes she's gone. Whether he's right or not is a fair question, granted, but he would be the one to know. Unless you can think of someone else who might be more knowledgeable about the afterlife prospects of living constructs. (hide spoiler)]

When will we get to see Halar actually struggle to get stronger? So far that is one thing he has never had to do, he has always been the strongest guy in the room (or damn near it) without even trying. And I am not talking about skills either. I am talking about facing an adversary that is out of his weight class that he can't come up with a clever trick to defeat.
