I knew right away that I wanted this to be a fast-paced novel, more than any of my others. Some of my favorite books have forced me to keep reading all the way through, even late into the night when I was exhausted. My goal was to do something similar with this story. I intentionally shortened the chapter lengths and tried to end most chapters with a gripping cliffhanger. I also incorporated a lot of twists and turns in the book meant to keep the reader guessing. Hopefully it paid off!
