I absolutely LOVED the series. I'm now looking for other books to read like it (preferably audiobooks as I walk 10-15km every day to keep fit for my job). I've asked all over Facebook sci-fi groups and heard crickets... there must something fun, clever and infinitely human like this out there?

Not very well written and the characterisation was very poor. Craig Alanson's Expeditionary Force, on the other hand, I have got into. I'd also like to recommend Bobby Adair's 'Freedom' series.
