There are extremely disturbing sexual themes and I just don't think they'd understand the complexity of the novel. They'd only walk away knowing they heard a man call a woman the c-word and b*tch numerous times. Even the most mature teen shouldn't read this.
Normally, I think teens should not be shielded from swearing or (moderate) sexuality. But this book is extreme and therefore should be reserved for an older audience.(less)
