Georgia Hunter Hi Karen! So nice to hear from you! I love that my book has reconnected me with so many of my horse friends. I was just Skyping this AM, actually, with a friend through the horse world who's a teacher now - she assigned her high school class We Were the Lucky Ones for summer reading :)

I'll definitely write another book - have a few ideas of what it might entail - currently tho I'm at the tail end of a maternity leave (we welcomed baby brother #2 in April)...looking forward to getting back into writing this Fall.

Thank you so much for sharing the story of your family. I was deeply touched by their bravery, love of family, and determination to survive when so many others did not. One of the best books I have read. (I know this isn't a question, but I just finished the book, and am overwhelmed with emotion...had to share with you!) Adding the required question mark!?
