I think authors these days are so lucky that there are other routes to publication than that of the traditional agent/publisher route. With the facilities offered by Amazon, Smashwords and similar organisations, anyone can be a published author.

Hi Jodi, I LOVE your books. I tell all my friends (we studied history here in Mumbai) to read them. I want to move into St mary’s, lock, stock and barrel! I have been reading Hope for the Best, and something struck me - and I hope you don’t mind me asking - why are there no major characters (contemporaries of Max) of colour in the books? Mr Wolfe was the first one I noticed (unless I have missed something?)
