It depends on the day.
Sometimes it's having written, being able to look back at books, articles, chapters I've successfully published. That's always satisfying.
Other times it's the terrific connection with readers. There's nothing as electric as learning that someone somewhere else on Earth has taken the time to look at my writing and think about it.
And during the process of writing, when I'm in the groove, typing out words in a frenzy so heated my fingers and laptop can't type up? Ah, nothing like it.
