Jeffrey Parfitt
Initially I was outraged at the injustice of an event that happened to someone close to me and was able to project this in to my first novel - the steepest learning curve of all. Following on, I find I meet interesting people with a story to tell and can meld their anecdotes in to my stories - and they want to be heard but not necessarily acknowledged. Real stories are so much more dramatic.
