For Maybe in Another Life, how many cinnamon rolls did you eat; did that influence how many times she was craving them again? I loved the ambiguous-ness of the novel which left us to decide if there was a 'real' story, or just to chose which we prefer. It made an amazing book club pick. We debated which plot line played out better in which world. Was it hard to write one version at times bc you liked the other?

Taylor Jenkins Reid I had a craving for a cinnamon roll one day as I was writing and then the whole thing took on a life of its own!

As I was writing that book, I worked hard to make sure that I felt torn between both worlds. I figured that was the only way that the reader would feel torn, too. So it wasn't too hard to go back and forth because I enjoyed them both so much.
