Taylor Jenkins Reid Yes and no! I think Liz Taylor is the most apt comparison because of just how famous she was and how many times she married. But Evelyn really is her own woman.

She could also be compared to Ava Gardner, Rita Hayworth, Lana Turner, Sophia Loren, and a number of others.
