Dear favourite author I started listening to the audible Soulless version. They made a great choice for reader voice. As Soulless is one of my top 5 comfort reads I was wondering what's your comfort read and movie?
Gail Carriger
Thank you! The narrator is Emily Gray and she's great. I'm so proud to be a comfort read, that's exactly WHY I write. I have a number of comfort reads, depending on what genre I'm in the mood for. I've been reading a lot of m/m recently and one of my top comfort rereads right now is a SciFi called Claiming Tails and Other Alien Artifacts by Lyn Gala. Closely followed by Mary Calmes' Frog. For epic fantasy, I reread the Servant of the Empire series almost every year as well as Forgotten Beasts of Eld. If I really need nostalgia then I go for Tamora Pierce's Kel or Alana books (YA). So far as movies go, I love most Austen adaptations and the TV series Leverage, but my two biggest comfort movies are Latter Days and Bend It Like Beckham. I've a blog post where I talk abotu my reading habits and the kinds of books I gravitate towards here: http://gailcarriger.com/2017/04/10/wh...

And assuming Sophronia is still alive during Changeless, would Madame Lefoux be informing her about Alexia?

I really love your Finishing School and the Parasol Protectorate series! However, I get a little bugged with all the inconsistencies between them. Will you ever go around and fix them? Or is there a particular reason that you will not do so (beside being very busy writing new stories of course)?
