Hmm. No, I don't.
Some stories have done better than others -- although, frankly, they've all earned a tidy profit. Oddly enough, the stories that are often the most difficult for readers, or the least popular and the least lucrative, are the ones I feel taught me the most or made me stretch my writing muscles the farthest. Even a mess like Mexican Heat seems, in retrospect, one heck of an achievement.
There are some projects I regret -- although maybe "regret" is too strong a word. Some of the translations are maybe not the best quality or did not perform as I'd hoped. Some of the really large audio compilations take longer to earn out now. But even then...these are all experiments and part and parcel of the creative life. Some things are a hit and some are a miss, but in art, the point really is the journey and not the destination.

Hi, Josh With Fair Play coming out it reminded me of something I've wondered about before - was any particular reason you didn't write Fair Game in 1st person, since it's all in Elliot's POV? Do you ever think back and wish you had done it in first? Though it's great just as it is, I'm sure it would have been great in first too, since you're so good at creating a distinctive first person narrative voice.

I just finished "Winter Kill" and loved it! You just continue to get better and better with each book! I pre-order now without even reading the description. Do you intend to add another series to your oeuvre? Both Rob and Adam are appealing, complex characters I'd like to get to know better. The circuitous storyline is compelling, and the ending is very satisfying. This is a Great Read, Josh! Thanks!
