Georgia Hunter Hi Emily - thanks for the kind words about my book! So glad to hear you enjoyed it. Yes, that scene with Mila and Felicia at the train was passed down to me by Felicia (even though she was young, she remembers it vividly) - I tried my best to write it exactly as she described it. The book's narrative - who was where/when and how each character managed to survive - is based on oral histories and outside research...I had to make up the more 'human' aspects (what they were thinking/feeling/saying) but the story is based on true events :)
