Kerrelyn Sparks When I sold the vampire series, it sold very quickly since paranormals were very popular at the time. The Embraced series sold quickly, too, even though publishers now have the opinion that paranormals are down. If you look at a lot of big names in paranormal, you'll see that they're switching over to other sub-genres, mainly erotic contemporaries. But I wanted to try something different. Luckily, St. Martin's Press fell in love with The Embraced series, so they were eager to publish it.
