When I actually sit down to write, I sometimes have to find inspiration. Just like anything, I'm not always in the "mood" to write. But it's my job. So, I have some tricks that can help me catch that muse. Writing prompts, free handing (writing on paper) in a character's point of view about something that is not necessarily relevant to anything, or just reading back over/editing a previous scene. Sometimes you have to "get the pump primed" so to speak.
