I would love to know what inspired you to create the character Skippy the Magnificent? I'm on book two, and I absolutely love it so far! I would have guessed that you are a rocket scientist based on your above monkey level of understanding of the universe. I have been illustrating (post it sized doodles via instagram) of the most poignant moments from your series, and I have to say you give me plenty of inspiration!

Skippy is a combination of a whole lot of arrogant, pompous assholes I have known and seen. Frazier Crane, the Great Gazoo, etc. and now even Dr. Sheldon Cooper from the Big Bang Theory.
I am not a rocket scientist but my wife and I worked for a rocket company (my wife managed part of the Trident missile program) and I am in a running group with real rocket scientists. They tell me if any of the physics in my books is bogus!
