Marya Miller
Marya Miller asked J.D. Barker:

What scares you most about your own stories, when you're writing?

J.D. Barker When I'm writing, it feels a lot like I'm watching a movie in my head, watching the story play out, and I'm there to document it. Sometimes, when it really works, I get so completely lost to the flow, I barely remember writing at all. I look down and there's a few thousand words there. That can be frightening. It's not exactly "lost time" in the psychological sense, but it does feel like the characters take over for a bit. I suppose I'm scared of the day one of them decides to stay in the driver's seat.
