Goodreads asked Tracee Dunblazier:

What books are on your summer reading list this year?

Tracee Dunblazier The book I'll be reading this Summer is The Book of Night Women by Marlon James. I can already tell from the first few pages it's going to be bitter-sweet for me. Not only in the devastating story of slavery but the dialect it's written in. I'm finding myself reading and re-reading paragraphs just to get the story let alone any deeper layers of meaning. Hopefully, I'll acclimate quickly. Either way, I am pressing on. If you've read either of my books then you know how deeply I value the voices of the ancestors and the opportunities they're offering us to heal today. I will keep you posted.
