The very first part set the stage for the story, and I don't think I quite realized the significance of the first few pages right off the bat as I listened to them (listened to the book on Audible), but it all came together and made sense rather quickly. When Thomas and the girl are introduced, you are on your way, the story builds from there. It grabs you and does not let go until the last page. (less)
