Shankari Chandran I am working on my a political thriller set in Sri Lanka at the end of the civil war. It is 2009, a high profile journalist has been assassinated and three people are investigating her death: her Sri Lankan Tamil lover, an American human rights lawyer and a Sri Lankan Sinhalese investigator. These three people are bound together by a tragedy that happened in Sri Lanka seven years before the story unfolds. In seeking justice for the journalist, they are also trying to find a way to forgive each other and themselves for what happened before.
