Margaret Goodlin asked this question about Everyone Brave Is Forgiven:
Can anyone recommend other books that are as good? LOVED this book. Have read several by this author, but would like to read more WW II books.
Amanda up North I loved this one, too. I read quite a lot of WWII historical fiction.

I loved this one, too. I read quite a lot of WWII historical fiction.
All the Light We Cannot See is highly comparable in gorgeous prose, set in WWII France, under siege and occupation of Germans.
Lilac Girls is very good.
I personally didn't care for The Nightingale as much. It was good enough reading, but there were several errors, inconsistencies, and anachronisms. It felt more like the author had an agenda and was using WWII as her carrier. It's popular though.
Unbroken is also very good, brutal but inspiring (it's a biographical true story.) The WWII events are set in Japan and the South Pacific, rather than Europe.
Salt to the Sea, by Ruta Sepetys is an incredibly well researched WWII historical fiction. I highly recommend. You'll find it in the YA section at the library.
The Book Thief also outstanding.
I loved the Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society.
I DO NOT recommend Those Who Save Us. I wrote a review on why. (less)
