Cedric asked Lisa Unger:

Hello, Lisa Unger. As I am writing my first novel, I want to take a break to read a book of my choice. Do you take a break from your writing to read other author's work (novels)? Kouakam.

Lisa Unger That's an interesting question. First of all, congrats on writing your novel! Reading is one of the best things you can do as an aspiring writer. A great book will educate and inspire. Most writers are readers first; that's where we first fall in love with story. For me, reading is a lifelong, constant pursuit. So I'm reading all the time. I don't find it necessary to take a break from my writing to read. But if it's a question of time, then by all means, take a break to recharge your batteries with a great book!
