Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Suzie Carr With my most recent book, Sandcastles, I wanted to write a story that would teach me how to live life to the fullest. A good friend of mine had passed away years ago, and I'll never forget the look in his eye the day we met for the last time. His eyes were filled with regret, and also with an urgency to communicate that as long as I'm alive, I can have fun exploring life instead of just existing in it. That last look we shared was the first seedling to Sandcastles, planted many years ago and never forgotten.
