Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Cary Neeper As the series developed, it became obvious that Shawne, the human baby of a Place Beyond Man who grows up in the book, The Webs of Varok, would want to return to Earth and help solve its challenging dilemmas. They do, in The Alien Effect, to be released Nov. 3. Since I enjoy trying to keep my stories close to reality, the attractive aliens stir up some trouble for themselves on Earth, and their ideas pose difficult challenges to Shawne's students.
