Is the book as good as the movie? The film, "Notes on a Scandal" was very god IMHO. Then again I don't think I've ever seen a poor Cate Blanchett or Judi Dench film.

Christie This is probably the only time I would ever say this. The movie is slightly better than the book. Judi Dench does a damn good Barbara. The book is written from Barbara's perspective and the prose is honest and chilling; yet at times, I really got a kick out of Barbara's observations about people.
