Nicki, thanks; but from my point of view, since Bram Stoker and Anne Rice made up their own rules (based on folklore), other writers are entitled to do the same. There are certainly enough different interpretations of the vampire legend to make any reader happy, right?

I have read all of the Sookie Stackhouse novels, & it's a favorite series of mine. I'm from Mississippi, so the southern settings in all of your novels really resonate with me. Also the characters you create are incredibly easy to grow attached to. I was just wondering if you had a favorite character, one that was especially special to you? Also will there be any more books in the Sookie saga?
