As I live in Australia, it would be more of a winter reading list!
I am a judge for the World Fantasy Awards this year, which means I have zero time to read anything other than the huge number of works under consideration for the awards, all of which must be read and assessed by the end of June. My house is full of books. Any fantasy work whose first English language publication was in 2016 is potentially eligible, and there are only five judges to do the job.
There have been some wonderful books which I'd love to recommend, but that will have to wait until the winners are decided and the awards handed out in November 2017. Once the reading for the awards is over, I will enjoy reading some novels in other genres. I was given Fiona Lowe's Daughter of Mine for Mother's Day, so that will probably my first post-awards reading. I'll also be reading up about life in twelfth century England, for research.

Hi Juliet, I've always been a huge fan of your work, I think this has something to do with my Scottish/Celtic heritage. I know you write mostly from the point of view of humans living alongside and wandering into the other-world. I wonder, would you consider writing a fantasy novel in the reverse? This was just a thought that occurred to me recently, I thought that if anyone could do it, it would be you! :)

Do you know how many books will be in your Blackthorn and Grim series? Will it be a trilogy or do you plan on making it longer? I loved Wildwood Dancing and all of your other books, though I have yet to read Cybeles Secret..I just would rather marathon the whole series than be anxious for the next ones to come out!

Hi Juliet. I'm a big fan of your work, particularly the Sevenwaters series as I love the lore and history of ancient Ireland and Scotland. I'd like to know if the folk music of these countries, or music in general has influenced your writing, and if so, who are your favourite musicians?
