Wait... If Arsinoe is a Toxic... And in the first chapter of the first book it is said that Katharine has a poisonous snake that has never bitten her... Does that mean the snake is her familiar?

But if I remember correctly (I would need to reread this part in book 1) but didn't Sweetheart get lost during that botched feast and then Natalia had replaced her with another coral snake since they had found Sweetheart dead somewhere? So the snake that tried to bite her wasn't her Sweetheart. And after reading the second book, I am starting to think that both Arsinoe and Katherine are poisoners, but Arsinoe is the stronger one.(less)
