From an actor's perspective, it was very melodramatic. I've also struggled with suicidal thoughts and even though I wasn't triggered by anything in the show, it was kind of hard to watch because it seemed like they were a) filling time up and b) warping the story told in the book. I would suggest reading the book. It's a lot better, more down to the point, and represents suicide in a more meaningful way.(less)
