I love writing about women who persevere and prevail because that’s what I had to do to get to this point in time. It’s another way of saying it doesn’t matter where you’ve been, what matters is where you’re going and how you get there.

I think I have read most of the books you have written. Most of your characters seem to be snippets of people I know or are related to. I would like to ask how you got into writing as a career and how many rejections you got before someone published your first book. Do you still get rejections?
