I think I have read most of the books you have written. Most of your characters seem to be snippets of people I know or are related to. I would like to ask how you got into writing as a career and how many rejections you got before someone published your first book. Do you still get rejections?

Fern Michaels This is a rather short story. When my youngest child started school, my husband said to get a job. I only knew how to be a wife and mother. I did love to read, so I thought I'd write a book. After the book was finished, I went to the phone book (yes, phone book), and contacted the first publisher listed. My book was published and I never looked back.
