A Goodreads user asked Lisa Jackson:

Hi Lisa! I am Hannah and I am in high school. I love writing so much. I am currently writing a novel I can see sparks all over. It is very hard with my classes and my family. I share my ideas with my best friend, Star. But I feel like I'm doing something wrong. When I read, it seems like it must be so easy to make conversations long and juciey, but I can't seem to do this. Any tips for me to use?

Lisa Jackson You can take writing courses, of course and eventually attend conferences. Read, read and read some more. What books do you like and why? Conversation should sound natural—read yours aloud. Would your friends and parents talk like that? Do the words sound natural? Give it a try. Good luck!
