Hi Deborah, and thanks for your question! I read an article about compassionate release (allowing terminal prisoners to come home to die). It wasn't in Tennessee and it didn't involve a violent crime like in my story, but it got me thinking... What would that be like for the family? Would they welcome him home? Would they forgive him for what he did? Would they grieve his death? All these questions and more became The Last Breath. Thank you for reading! <3

I just finished reading The Marriage Lie. I loved the plot, the characters and I was floored by the ending. I am up to host our book club in May and plan to have everyone read The Marriage Lie. The only thing is that I am having a hard time identifying a theme. We always tie our club meetings to a theme. Do you have any suggestions? Please say you do.

Just finished 'The Marriage Lie' and released a huge breath that I hadn't realised that I had been holding. I agree, would make a great film. Also, the ending was just perfect... the conclusionist in me wanted more, but... absolutely a right and true end too. Am going for a lie down and do some deep breathing. Just one little question... in the words of Oliver Twist-ish 'Please, Ms Belle, I want more?'
