Gregg Schwartzkopf
Gregg Schwartzkopf asked Victoria Zigler:

Hello Tori. I'm a vocational rehabilitation counselor and I'd be interested in knowing if you use any adaptive devices for getting words on the page. Are you a touch typist? Do you use something like Dragon Dictate?

Victoria Zigler Great question; thanks for taking the time to ask!

I learned to touch type when I was in school. I still had sight then, and I admit I used to cheat a little and watch my fingers, but since I learned to type quickly and accurately the teacher didn't seem bothered, even though I really should have been sitting up straight and looking at the screen. I did stop watching my fingers when I started using the internet though, so by the time I lost the last of my sight I was a confident touch typist, although I admit I don't sit as straight as I should in my chair.

My only tools are my own fingers, my computer, Microsoft Word and a screen reader by the name of JAWS (it stands for "Java Access With Speach" or something like that).
