How did you decide what powers to give each character in the GONE series? Did it have to do with personality traits, or was it more of "well this would be cool"?

Michael Grant It was a bit of both. Giving Sam power of light was a definite 'there's a meaning here' kind of move, but for example Dekka's control of gravity was just because I thought it'd be fun.
