Amelia asked:

I still don't understand, why is it called Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda? It only mentions the "homo sapiens agenda" once and it doesn't even make any sense.

Hal In one of their email exchanges, Simon complains about how only people who aren't straight have to come out. Blue says that everyone should have to declare what their sexuality is, even straight people, jokingly referring to it as their version of the Homosexual Agenda. Then Simon says it's more like the Homo Sapiens Agenda, since if it were their way, coming out wouldn't be a thing only non-straight people have to do, but a universal human experience. Since the book is about Simon's coming out story, it's called Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda. The Homo Sapiens Agenda is coming out.
Someone365 Homo sapien means human. Back a few years ago you were frowned upon if you liked the same sex and in theory they all believed you had to like the opposite gender. The title "Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda" is a hint that Simon is homo sexual and needs to "battle" the fear of being rejected that he does like the same sex. Homo Sapiens agenda is the coming out and that it shouldn't be just homo sexual people but everyone.
