The freedom to write on any topic I choose! I worked for years as a newspaper reporter. While I loved the work environment of a daily newspaper, I found writing about other people's ideas limiting. A journalist who longed to write fiction was not a good match. Fortunately, I was able to keep fiction out of my news stories while I worked for the paper!
