I was lucky enough to stay with my BFF author friend in Roslin Castle! We commandeered the whole place, which has two furnished floors at the top, with the lower levels in ruins. It's purportedly haunted by three ghosts, but the only creepy thing were the bats hanging out in the ruined sections. I realize this never happens to you, but you could ask some other authors. How do you deal with a character you do not like? I understand that at times characters simply become more than you planned. Do you take them to a high cliff? Are they run over in a stampede? They migrate to Greenland?
