Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Gunner Alan Lindbloom I grew up in a Sicilian family with ties to organized crime. The main character, like myself, is of mixed lineage, and therefore struggles with his own identity and place within the family. That's something I could very much relate to in my own family. I came up with the characters and premise of this novel while serving thirteen years in prison for extortion, bank robbery and other crimes. God has blessed me with a unique gift of writing, and I used my years in prison to hone and polish that gift into the nine novels that I wrote over those thirteen years of my incarceration.
