Scott Grossman asked this question about Fire Shut Up in My Bones:
Does anyone believe that the caress of the narrator's Uncle Paul constitutes an act of abuse given (1) the uncle helped raise the boy and (2) clearly suffered from a profound cognitive disability and (3) never once attempted to groom or touch the boy either before or after the singular touching incident?
Kelly F all it takes is one time grooming does not have to be involved. I consider it abuse.
