Olivia answers “I was totally confused at the end of the...”

I was totally confused at the end of the story. Johnny Harrington was not the diary writer with "Mousie," right? I went back and read some of the the diary entries but they still seemed to be written by Johnny. Which character was the writer of the diary?

It was tricky because of the nicknames, Goldie, Poodle and Ziggy, and I think because of the blurb which made us think Harrington was awful and so that he was the author of the diary.

I also looked back through the book and couldn't work out why I had initially thought Harrington the author. Quite fun though, although maybe not if it was still confusing by the end!(less)
