Annette
Annette asked Glynnis Campbell:

I realize this never happens to you, but you could ask some other authors. How do you deal with a character you do not like? I understand that at times characters simply become more than you planned. Do you take them to a high cliff? Are they run over in a stampede? They migrate to Greenland?

Glynnis Campbell This is a great question! Actually, unless it's clearly a villain who needs to go (and I've knocked them off with poison, fire, swordplay, etc.), I treat unlikable characters the same way I do unlikable people in real life. I try to find something to like about them. After all, nobody thinks they're a villain, and I can usually find some redeeming quality in everyone.
