I have a set of photos I've taken all over the world in places where I've set up to write. I always tell people, "Oh, that's my Kyoto studio," or, "That's my Bangkok studio!" Or Rome, New York, Denver or wherever I've sat down to write. In other words, the world is my studio. To me, that's the greatest thing about writing: having both mental and physical freedom!
