(view spoiler)[Hi. I'm reading the Aurora Teagarden series, and I'm just wondering if there is a particular reason why you killed off Martin? Aurora has been through so much at this point of the series and I find killing her husband is quite cruel. (hide spoiler)]
Charlaine Harris
Of course there was a reason. I had never planned for Aurora to stay with Martin, but the publisher I was with at that time felt he was too popular to dispense with. So he was part of the series for a longer than I ever intended. When the series changed publishers, I had free rein to follow my original plan. Aurora's life was never meant to be trouble-free; no one's is. The death of a spouse is a terrible thing.

Hello Charlaine, I’m a big fan of all of the series you’ve written, particularly the Harper Connolly series and Midnight Texas, do you ever see yourself revisiting any of these characters? And is there any information about projects you have in the works that you can share with us? Thank you for taking the time to field questions.

Hi Charlaine! I love every single one of your series! I have a very minor question about the timeline of the Sookie Stackhouse series. I own multiple copies of the book series. In about half of the copies of Dead Until Dark the second sentence says its been four years since vampires came out of the coffin and in the other half it says two years. Is this just an error or was there a reason for the change?
