Hello, you're one of my favorite authors--I write fairy tales now, largely because of you. This might already exist somewhere that I don't know about, but I was wondering if you had reading lists for any research and/or inspiration that you've done for your books (specifically The Two Princesses of Bamarre and Ella Enchanted). If so, would you be willing to share them? Thank you!

Thank you! I love the book CASTLE by David Macaulay, but I don't have a reading list. I own a few books on historical fashion and a couple on daily life in the middle ages, but none so distinguished that I'd recommend them. And I google and use Wikipedia a lot.

I loved the languages you invented for Ella Enchanted & Fairest! "Htun" became part of our regular vocabulary for my sister & I (mostly for black cats with that hint of red to their fur). Ever since reading Fairest, I've wanted to translate the whole book into Ayorthian, & this Quarantine I've been really working on it - finished translating the first full paragraph today! Did you keep working on your languages?
