Hey! I've been a fan of your books for so long! What inspired you to start writing? Also, would you ever write a different genre, like historical fiction, realistic fiction... :)

Gail Carson Levine My inspiration was the books I read when I was little. I have written historical fiction (DAVE AT NIGHT), nonfiction in my two books on writing, picture books, and my poetry collection (FORGIVE ME, I MEANT TO DO IT). Lately I've also been writing poems for adults.
