Brian Keene:
Were the eldritch entities that appear in your works inspired by the myths of Tiamat and the 11 Monsters She begat in order to destroy the universe? And don't you realize that by writing about these Entities, you are unconsciously aiding Them, and that you, too, will be devoured when the Dark Ones arrive to usher in the return of primal Chaos? Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthugha Fomalhaut n'gha-ghaa naf'lthagn!
Brian Keene
Absolutely, but not just that particular myth cycle. The idea behind my mythos (being revealed right now in the serialized Patreon novel) is that all of those old myths and legends, all of our collective folklore and the various religions -- all spring from the same primal source. But yeah, Tiamat and that creation story certainly played a big influence. (That cycle also supposedly influenced Jack Kirby and Stan Lee in the creation of Galactus).

Hey, Brian, I just finished reading Ghoul and this was the first time in my life I've read a book with a character that shared my name. I have to say, I wish he'd met a more grisly end at the hands of the ghoul, but at least he got what's coming to him. Naturally, I have to ask how you chose the name?

When are you going to write another zombie..... LOL, I can't ask you that question with a serious face. No seriously my real question is about your second self published short story collection called "All Dark, All of the Time: The Complete Short Fiction of Brian Keene vol 2." Will it still come out early in 2015? ^_^ Thanks again for being so awesome to your fans.

Good day Mr. Keene, I appreciate the opportunity to ask a question. I would like to know if there are any plans to resurrect any of your "out of print" book from your library of work. IE: Fast zombies suck, Unhappy endings, Running with the devil, ETC.. in either print or digital format? Also, are there any plans for the future for appearances or book signing anywhere in the pacific northwest?
