Hi Juliet! For years now I've been a huge fan of your books. I love the themes, setting and mix of history and fantasy! This year, I've read the Bridei Chronicles and I was wondering if you would ever consider writing a sequel? It seems to me there is a story to be told about Circinn (if Bridei is able to unite the two kingdoms, more adventures of Faolan and Eile etc!). Thanks for your reply!!

Juliet Marillier Hi Sifra! That is a great question. I originally hoped to extend the Bridei Chronicles to 5 books but my US publisher said no (story of my life.) I have the other two planned out - the fifth book deals with what happened historically for Bridei with the two kingdoms, and includes story lines for Faolan, Eile and Saraid - it is set a generation later with Saraid and Derelei as young adults. And I have a great follow-up story for Ferada, as well as a story about the children of Ana and Drustan. I don't think my agent would be able to place these with a publisher now, but if I decide to launch into self-publishing they could be a possible project. Alternatively I might be able to do something with novella-length stories. Here's hoping!
